March 22, 2007 No Comments »

GIRLS U15 BATTLED BUT FAILED TO PROGRESS.

The girls travelled to Warrington near Manchester hoping to progress to the Inter-county finals in an event that Northumbria are current champions. They had 3 matches in the day against North Wales, Cheshire and Cumbria. The team was Rachael Oswald, Sophie Wylde, Catherine de Kievert , Samantha Ward and Lucy Beecroft.

They fought hard losing narrowly to both Cumbria and Cheshire 3-2 , however North Wales were very strong and beat the girls 5-0. There was marked improvements from both Catherine and Sam both quite new to county squash and getting better all the time! Lucy is still U11 and did very well to compete against much older girls!
