KIMBERLEY HAY SELECTED FOR WORLD JUNIORS.
Congratulations to Kim Hay who has just been informed she is to represent England in the upcoming World Junior Women’s World Champiomships in early August in Hong Kong. She will first play in the individual knockout event and then play in the team event the following week. The event is at under 19 level and is held every 2 years!
Kim’s selection is on the back of some very good recent success, she was selected earlier this year to play in the U19 European championships in Belgium wher she reached the semi-finals beating the number 2 seed from Czech republic and 5/8 seed from France.
She then captained England’s U17 team to Gold at the European team event in Hungary where the team consists of 2 boys and 1 girl. Kim won all her matches including the Final match.
Lets hope she can continue her good form in Hong Kong.
