THE GIRLS SHOW THE WAY!
Three of the four girls inter-county teams have progressed to the National inter-county finals weekends to be played over the next 2 weeks and they all have a good chance of success.
The U15 and U19 teams travel to Manchester on 14th/15th of March having both finished 2nd in the Northern group behind Yorkshire. They will have to both beat the Souths top team to probably once again take on Yorkshire in the final. They have a really good shout with the U19’s only losing 3-2 to them in the qualifying round ,the U15’s have recently had good wins against the Yorkshire players so they are very much in with a chance.
The U13’s are defending champions and have once again qualified undefeated to the finals. With Lucy Beecroft Englands number 1 along with Emma Haley and Charlotte Cooper they are strong favourites to defend the title when they play in Northants on the 21st/22nd of March.
Lets hope for great results over the next 2 weeks and continue Northumbria’s very strong standing in the girls national game.
