Boys Under 15 Inter County Championships, Sunday 11th October at The Northumberland Club

Ist Match v. Yorkshire
As usual Yorkshire arrived with an extremely strong team. The boys battled well but unfortunately lost 0 – 5 although the two Simons both managed to gain one game each.
2nd Match v. Durham & Cleveland
This match turned out to be a real nail biter.
Richard won his match 3 – 1, Andrew lost in a tight five ender just losing in the fifth 9 – 11. Rubbers one all. Simon Grabham lost 1 – 3 and Stephen won his match 3 – 0. Rubbers two all. The match was to be decided on the last rubber. Simon Graham narrowly lost 2 -3 in a hard fought fifth game, each player having at least 5 match points – unfortunately Simon was pipped at the post 14 – 16.
All the boys played extremely well and represented their county in an exemplary fashion. Well done to all of them.
