After a full season of twelve ‘Unsquashable’ Ranking Tournaments at Northern, Tynemouth and Jesmond squash clubs, the finale was held at Northern in May 2010.
Some two hundred junior squash players have participated during the course of the series and 85 were present at the final event.
At each tournament players have collected bonus points depending upon their performance and the top twelve points winners won bonus prizes of squash rackets, bags and goggles kindly provided by the sponsors, Unsquashable.
After some very exciting final games, the twelve prize winners were: Simon Graham, Michael Mattimore, Max Forster, Matty Watling, Sam O Neil, Alex Carr, Harry Steward, Jack Cornell, Cai Younger, Angus Forster, Lucie Carr and Ben Waugh. The prizes were presented by Laura Hall of Unsquashable.
Junior county coach Richard Vitty and Northumbria Squash chairman Dave Barnett also took the opportunity to congratulate players who had represented Northumbria during the season and award them county badges.
