The first round of junior INTER-COUNTY championships took place over October with 8 junior teams at various ages competing.
The teams played in under 13, under 15, under 17 and under 19 age groups for both boys and girls and travelled to various counties to compete.
In previous years the girls teams have always outshone the boys teams but at this stage the boys kept up, the under 13,15 and 17 teams all progress to stage 2 in January with a chance to make it to the finals in March. The under 19 team missed out and will compete in the Trophy(plate) event in January.
The girls continued with a strong showing with the under 13, 17 and 19 teams progressing and the u15 team only narrowly missed out and will also compete in the Trophy event.
Lets hope January goes just as well.
