The event is being sponsored for the second year running be QS Lawson & Thompson Solicitors, which means that every entrant will get an event t-shirt as well as playing for the prizes supplied by Dunlop and valuable national ranking points.
Entries have been received from all over the north and there is a lot of quality in all the draws:

Under 11:
Milly O`Toole from Yorkshire is the top seed with Northern player Naomi Appleby seeded to meet her in the final and two local players, Dan Neill and Ali Little are the top seeds for the boys.

Under 13:
Northern players Aanya Hamilton and Lucy Anderson are the top seeds, fresh from representing the Region last weekend but they will have to see off the challenge of Kaitlyn Carruthers from Cumbria. In the boys event, England ranked top 10 Adam Goad from Cumbria is top seed with local players Andrew Shipley and Lewis Follin, seeded to stop his progress.

Under 15:

Under 17:
Both events are very strong with Tynemouth`s Jamie Todd as one seed, but he will have to fend off the challenges of Dan Harrison (Cumbria), Michael Andrews (Cleveland) and Jackson Holliday (Cumbria). The top three seeds in the girls event are all local – Georgia Webster, Tegan Younger and Laura Neill will have to keep an eye on the up and coming Josie Barker from Northern and Eve Driver from Cumbria.

Under 19:
In the final event Cai Younger from Northern is seeded to meet Robert Pearce in the final but local players Alex Robertson and Dan Wareing will be hoping to spoil the party.
