On Friday 9th May, two powerhouses of world squash meet for a special charity exhibition match in aid of Butterwick House Children’s Hospice!

James Willstrop (world number 5, former world number 1 and Commonwealth Games Silver Medallist) and Saurav Ghosal (world number 18, first Indian player to reach the top 20) will lock horns at The Northumberland Club. This is a great chance for North East squash fans to see entertaining, world class squash at an affordable price.

The evening will begin at 7pm with a short doubles game featuring both players and two of our regions greatest talents – David Barnett and Liam Gutcher. Following the main singles match there will be a chance to win some great auction prizes and ask the players any questions, as well as the opportunity to buy James’ book ‘Shot and a Ghost’.

Tickets are priced at £10 and all proceeds will go directly to Butterwick House Children’s Hospice. Based in Stockton, the Hospice provides free of charge care for young children with life limiting illnesses from Sunderland to Thirsk. The Hospice is a place for pain relief, making new friends and providing families with much needed respite.

It’s not every day that two of the world’s top 20 come to the North East, so reserve your place early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are available from The Northumberland Club’s reception or by ringing 01642 628 930.
