The County’s Premier event will be held at Tynemouth Squash Club from 23rd – 25th January 2015
There has been a good entry for the Mens event and this will be split into Main, B, C and D events.
2015 Mens Main Event
Reigning champion Dave Barnett will be pitted against Liam Gutcher, Mohammed Bilal Khan, Paul Lord, Andrew Staley and a host of other Northumbria Squash Premier league stars.
2015 Ladies Event
Reigning champion Sam Ward will be pitted against Lucy Beecroft, Kimberley Hay, Hannah Cliff and other Ladies Premier league stars.
2015 Ladies O40 Event
This is a two horse race with the reigning champion Dawn Ward taking on Gill Millington in an all Tynemouth affair.
2015 Mens O45 Event
Reigning champion Glenn Ward will be pitted against Russell Hunter, Jon Evans and others with a small entry.
2015 Mens O55 Event
Reigning champion Ronnie Freeman will be pitted against John Thompson, Jon Evans and several other members of the current County O55 squad.
2015 Doubles Event
The Doubles will definitely have new champions, as last years winners (Wiggins/Waring) have been unable to enter as a paring due to Chris Wiggins injuries. There are still some fancied parings to take the title such as Ward/Russell, Evans/Evans, Wilkinson/Alderton and others with a good entry.
And finally the award for the busiest player is already scheduled for Jon Evans who has entered the Mens, O45, O55 and the Doubles – hope those feet hold out Jon…
