Northumbria Squash Summer Leagues Finals 2015 Day 2

NS Summer Leagues Champions 2015

Day 2

Second day of the finals weekend 1st/2nd of August at Tynemouth SRC featured Sunderland Greens battling it out with Eldon Leisure Destroyers to decide the new champions. Also vying for 3rd and 4th spot were Northumberland Ninjas and Benwell Hill. New favourites before a ball was hit were the Greens as they had already disposed of the reigning champions.

Games were again played 4-3-2-1 with PAR-15 scoring.

The greens started off strongly and never looked back until last man on Eric lost to Milo in the game of the day. Milo was just too strong for Eric who looked to be struggling to adjust to 2 hard games in two days.

Congratulations to the Greens on becoming the Northumbria Squash Summer Leagues champions of 2015.

Now to the 3rd and 4th decider…

The Ninjas dominated through out and won convincingly. The highlight being the game between Wayne and Joe. Wayne, ever the joker, had a side bet with Milo McKenzie that he would take a game off Joe and he offered Joe half of the winnings to throw the first game unbeknown to Milo. However as Joe had only just returned from 2 weeks holiday Wayne took advantage of this fact to take 2 games but eventually lost 3-2 despite have sudden death in the 4th game. Pay up Milo…
