Joe Witherspoon (jgw2010@me.com) is the Association’s County Welfare Officer, to whom any safeguarding issues should be addressed in the first instance.
The County Association supports the ES Safe Squash initiative including policies on safeguarding children, safeguarding adults at risk and equality and urges member clubs to do likewise.
The ES code of conduct has been issued to all member clubs, and any reported breaches of the code are dealt with by a county conduct committee consisting of Joe Witherspoon, John Thompson and Dave Barnett. Fortunately this committee has needed to meet on only very rare occasions since its inception.
