14 players from our region attended the final gold level junior competition of the year last weekend (9th – 11th Dec). The tournament was hosted by Pontefract Squash Club in Yorkshire and is aimed at the best junior players in the country. There were boys’ and girls’ age categories for U11s up to U19s, as well as a mixed U9 draw.
Here’s how our 7 representatives in the girls’ events got on:
GU11 – Emma Little (6th)
GU13 – Rebecca Little (13th)
GU15 – Kate Naisbitt (10th) & Ava Naisbitt (11th)
GU17 – Mia Smith (9th), Shae Patterson (15th) & Zoe Shipsey (16th)
The result for our players in the boys’ categories:
BU11 – Magnus McKay (15th)
BU13 – Mateo Radley (22nd) & James Southern (25th)
BU15 – Aiden Mahoney (16th), Sam Tufton (21st), Duncan Rutherford (23rd) & Leo Blackett (34th)
