Bryan Beeson, The Northumberland Club, travelled to Hamburg, Germany to take part in the European Masters Individual Squash Championships earlier this month.
Seeded 5/8 Beeson sliced through the early rounds with relative ease without dropping a game. He progressed into the QFs where he faced 3/4 seed Jonas Ulvsback from Sweden.
Bryan lost 3-2 to Ulvsback in a very tight match (7-11, 11-13, 12-10, 11-9, 11-5) and Ulvsback went on to win the event.
After his loss, Bryan dropped into the 5th/8th playoff and he ended the tournament in 5th place, after 2 more wins.
