    INTER-COUNTY RESULTS

    MENS

    First half matches were played at the Northumberland Club. Team- Dave Barnett, Chris Boyer, Richard Elliott, Craig Forsyth and Liam Gutcher. They beat Lincolnshire 5-0 and East of Scotland 3-2, and progress to promotion group in March.

    Second half matches were played at Tynemouth. Team- Dave Barnett, Jon Tate, Andrew Staley, Craig Forsyth, Mick Smith and Nick Hale. They lost to Ulster 3-2 and beat Merseyside 3-2 to clinch promotion to Division 1 for next season.(see news bar for full report)

    LADIES

    First half matches were played Derbyshire. Team- Sarah Bowles, Kim Hay, Emma Barnett, Karen Heron and Hannah Cliff. They lost to Derbyshire 3-2, beat D&C 4-1 and beat ., they also progress to promotion group in March.

    Second half was played in Northants. Team- Sarah Bowles, Kim Hay, Emma Barnett, Hannah Cliff and Karen Heron. They beat Northants 4-1, Derbyshire 4-1 and lost to Warwickshire. They finished second and narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier league.

    LADIES O40

    First stage matches were played at Bowden ,Cheshire. Team- Chris Park, Dawn Ward, Lesley Vitty, Eleanor Bowles and Sue Hoburn. They lost to Cheshire 3-2 and Hertfordshire 3-2. With a strong second stage they could still win premier league. Click here for report.

    Played in Leicester. Team- Carol Page, Chris Park, Dawn Ward, Lesley Vitty and Eleanor Bowles. They beat Leicestershire 3-2 and narrowly lost to Yorkshire 3-2. They stayed in the premier division for next season.

    MENS O45

    First half matches were played in Liverpool. Team- Paul Millington, Glenn Ward, Russell Hunter, Maurice Cliff and Paul Beecroft. They beat Merseyside 4-1 and Cumbria 4-1. They are now going for promotion in the second half. Click here for report.

    Due to 2 teams not able to make journey to Tynemouth team was promoted along with Merseyside without having to play any further matches.

    MENS O55

    First half matches were played in Carlisle. Team- Derek Collins, John Smith, Ken Johnson, Mike Cherryman, Jim Douglas, Simon Johnstone, Colin McNestrie, Stan Brown. They beat Yorkshire 3-2 and lost to Cumbria 3-2. They will go for promotion in the second half. Click here for report.
