It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Douglas.
A huge squash enthusiast, he was a regular in the Northumbria Squash scene until he stopped playing a few years ago.
Jim moved to the area to become manager at the Northumberland Club, a role he held for 10 years, and in that time, he played a big part in the club’s squash success. He also spent several years on the Northumbria Squash committee in various roles and always gave his time to help run events and presentation evenings.
Although not from Northumbria, he was definitely one of our adopted own.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
