Congratulations to Huey Lamb, who achieved his best BU13 result to date in the recent Essex Junior Open, the first silver-level event of the junior season!
Huey was seeded 5/8 and progressed through his opening rounds with 2 comfortable 2-0 wins. In the quarter-finals, he then beat the top seed 11-8 in the 3rd, but took his first loss of the event in the semis with a 2-1 defeat to 3/4 seed Theo Hobman.
Huey bounced back brilliantly to claim bronze by beating Pontefract’s James Swinden 2-0 in the 3rd/4th playoff!
