The 2025/26 Prestwick Care Northumbria Squash Winter Leagues kick-off for another exciting season!
Once again, we have 6 Men’s divisions made up of 56 teams from the Premier to Division 5 and, new for this year, 2 Ladies divisions with a total of 10 teams.
A very strong Northern 1st team will be looking to defend their title against a host of challengers in the Men’s Premier, including Eldon 1, who play in the Men’s top division for the first time in their club history!
We may have the strongest Men’s division 1 in recent memory with teams including Boldon 1, Newbiggin 1, Primrose 1, Sunderland 1, Northern 2 and Northumberland 4 all battling it out for the 2 automatic promotion places.
In Ladies’ division 1, Newcastle Uni Ladies 1 have their sights set on winning the league for the 4th season in a row, but they may have their work cut out with some strong Northern and Northumberland teams! There will also be more excitement from the off in the Ladies league, with a promotion/relegation at the end of the 1st half, making every game even more important!
We also wish the best of luck to this season’s new teams: Chester-le-Street 4, Concordia 3, Newbiggin 3, Northern 6 & Tynemouth Ladies 2.
