A double record-breaking day at Tynemouth, MatchPoint’s largest event yet in Northumbria and their biggest women’s entry to date, with 11 women’s players taking part! A total of 72 players from 25 clubs played over 120 matches across 6 grades, what better way to celebrate World Squash Day!
The main A event final saw the top seed Dave Barnett take on former team mate Chris Garner, who downed the 2 and 3 seed on his way to the final. It was a high-quality affair, but Dave just managed to keep himself ahead with an array of superb winners, taking his 1st first MatchPoint title 11/7 – 11/7!
