Pontefract Squash Club hosted the recent North of England Masters event, which featured several players representing Northumbria.
In the MO35, Simon Broatch (Newbiggin) lost to a higher-seeded opponent in round 1, but went on to win his 2 remaining matches and win the plate event!
Tynemouth’s Eric Mok and Richard Bradley participated in the MO45 and MO55 respectively. Eric lost in round 1, then finished 3rd in a mixed O40/O45s plate event, while Richard dropped into the plate, after a narrow 3-1 loss in the main event, where he finished 2nd!
Bryan Beeson added to his already overflowing trophy cabinet, winning the MO65 event with an almost faultless performance, dropping just a solitary game in the semi final.
