A handful of our county juniors made the long trip to Surrey to participate in the 2nd gold-level event of the season from 21st – 23rd November.
Huey Lamb put on one of his best performances to date, finishing 5th in the BU13! Huey only lost 1 of his 5 matches, which was in the quarter final to the eventual event winner Logan Willstrop.
In the BU15, James Southern also had an impressive weekend, also only losing once to the 2nd seed. James finished the event with a 3-1 win against the higher seeded Kylen Calder in the 5th/6th playoff match.
Sam Tufton battled his way through the BU17 draw, narrowly losing 3-2 in round 2 before winning 2 of his remaining 3 games to finish one place outside the top 10.
Shae Paterson continued her fine recent form, and despite being 3/4 seed, took the GU19 group by storm. Shae lost in a very tight 3-2 against the top seed, but 3 convincing 3-0 wins in her remain group matches saw Shae top the group, with 11 points from a possible 12, and take the GU19 title!
