We had 3 top performers at the English Junior Championships in Nottingham, an event where the top 16 players of each category face off to be national champions!
In the BU13, Huey Lamb had an eventful weekend, with 5 games going to tiebreakers! He competed well throughout, winning 50% of his matches to finish in 10th place.
James Southern went into the BU15 as a 5/8 seed, winning his opening match before losing 13/11 in the 4th in the quarters to 3/4 seed Tristan Sutton. A strong win against a fellow 5/8 seed then set up a playoff for 5th place, which James narrowly lost 11/7 in the 5th!
Duncan Rutherford was dealt a tough draw in the boys U17, facing the top seed and eventual event winner in the quarters after a 3-0 win in round 1. After a defeat to the top seed, Duncan had 2 more challenging encounters, losing both to place in 8th.
