As the winter leagues are wrapping up in the next few weeks, it will soon be time to turn our attention to the summer leagues! Can Northern defend their title, or will a new champion emerge this year?
The Summer League format is as follows:
- 4-person teams
- No post-match meals
- Mixed teams (men, women and jrs)
- PAR 15 scoring (14-14 is sudden death)
- Nomination will be based strictly on SquashLevels rankings (new proposed rule)
- Leagues start w/c 1st June
There are a few more rule changes for the summer:
- Games can only be rearranged before your first fixture is played (except in exceptional circumstances), and you can play more than once in any week.
- Any game that is rearranged because of exceptional circumstances must be done so within 2 weeks of the original date and notified to the league organiser.
- All players taking part in the playoffs must have played 3 times for their team in order to be eligible.
We anticipate that the playoffs will be held mid/late Sept – before the winter leagues begin (date TBC).
