World Squash Officiating (WSO)
World Squash Officiating (WSO) is the global authority in squash officiating and has been created to advance excellence in squash officiating worldwide with the aim of elevating squash through world-class officiating standards and creating a clear refereeing pathway.
Anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of the sport can access a host of resources, such as in-depth articles and presentations on rules, as well as a comprehensive video library from the SQUASHTV archives, which explains previous decisions made by referees on the PSA World Tour.
Users of the platform can also take part in a number of courses, starting with a free online Level 0 course of the basic rules of the game. The level 1 course will educate you to “Club Level” officiating for a £12 per year fee.
The County Committee have agreed to a refund of the WSO Level 1 fees (£12 pa per person) in return for refereeing 3 matches at county-sanctioned events, with a further refund of WSO Level 2 fees (additional £8 pa per person) and Level 2 assessment costs.
Northumbria Squash recommend all club players to complete the free Level 0 and Level 1 courses.
