The Northumbria Masters County Closed is played every January in conjunction with the Senior County Closed and is open to all Northumbrian Masters players. A player is eligible to play in a Masters County Closed if they reach the specified age by the notified start date of the event.
CURRENT EVENTS
Since 2013, the MO45, MO55 and WO40 events have been held annually, while the MO65 is a more recent event, having replaced the MO60 category in 2022.

The first recorded masters events in the county were held in 1986, with the Men’s Veteran and Vintage categories. In subsequent years, the MO35, MO40, MO60 and WO35 were held for varying amounts of time, but all of these categories have now been discontinued.
